Sex Robots | The former concept “order your next girlfriend from the internet” has already become a reality but one thing was missing. Emotions and the human “soul” interaction.
The next level sex robots have begun by inserting artificial intelligence into the robot. Imagine, now they can “feel”, laugh and cry.
Recent breakthroughs in the field of AI suggest machines can be built with a degree of emotional intelligence.
Company Affectiva, which specialises in building emotion-focused AI, said it is developing “multi-modal emotion AI”.
Theoretically, this could have a huge impact on the sex robot market with cyborgs that understand how their user is feeling.
State-of-the-art robots that are currently on the market are able to communicate and move but cannot properly engage on an emotional level with people.
Leading doll manufacturer Realbotix is producing ultra-realistic female androids that talk, submissively follow orders and remember your sexual preferences.
The Harmony cyborgs have a memory that is stored via an interactive app used to build her personality.
Just days ago, Daily Star Online revealed the company is currently working on a model that has full body movements – giving the closest impression of a real woman yet.
But AI being built into the sex dolls could totally transform users’ experiences.
The possible breakthrough would make the cyborgs as close to a real female as would ever be possible.
Affective AI technology is already being used by leading companies around the world.

Noel Sharkey, a professor of artificial intelligence and robotics at Britain’s University of Sheffield, said it was difficult to predict how far or fast the market would grow, or what its effect on societies might be in years ahead.
At present the cost implementations be it for the maker or the buyer are relatively high. However it is a sure thing that in the near future, and talking over the next five or ten years, the social acceptance will grow and the robots will become more Cyborg. Eventually you won’t be able at first sight to distinguish between the cyborg and the human.
The so called Sex Robots will not only be directed to covering our sexual desires but will also be used in warfare and for spying etc.
Will we begin to fall in love with these robots? Read more (new window/tab)
